This course is designed to provide students with an introduction to Database Management Systems. The course will cover topics such as the fundamentals of relational database systems, data modeling, SQL, query optimization, and transaction processing. Students will learn how to design and create databases, and how to modify, query, and manipulate data using Structured Query Language (SQL). The course will also cover topics such as database security, database replication, and distributed databases. Students will gain hands-on experience with a range of popular database systems. At the end of the course, students will be able to design a database schema, create and maintain databases, and use SQL to query, update, and manipulate data.
